This is one shot where the make-up has not enhanced the overall appeal. Yes, The pose and make-up are strong and bold. The muscle tones work well in this shot and the lighting is superb. There is a beautiful sheen off the skintones which exhibits great knwledge of studio lighting. Impressive work.
