Richard is finally out on parole. He's been working through a temp agency for the railroad, for a month or two. I just heard that he left the half-way house. This is pretty scary for me. I am so hopeful that he's really going to be able to make it this time, I hate to see him make bad choices (like throwing away free rent...)
Raising kids is the best lesson I know to teach one to let go. Trying to control an adult child is like squeezing a wet bar of soap. The harder you squeeze, the more likely it is to fly out of your hands.
