One of the main target birds for anyone visiting Tobago.
Apart from the relict population on Tobago this species is only found in a rather remote & difficult-to-visit area of North-East Venezuela.

In Tobago it was nearly wiped-out by Hurricane Flora about 40 years ago (Tobago is below the hurricane belt & such extreme weather is very unusual)-the population is only now slowly recovering.
