Just a short walk from Kotu is The Gambia's only golf course which is also a great area for birding.
The Greens are only green for 5 months of the year -for the rest of the year they are "browns"!!!
The trees hold a good range of birds whilst the "greens" are good for Black-headed Plover: http://www.pbase.com/rainbirder/image/106329957
