The trail starts near Bright Angel Lodge at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and zigs down to the first plateau in the Canyon. The first campsite on the trail is at Indian Gardens and can be seen nestled in the trees below.

Wow...me and some friends walked out to the tip of the plateau in the middle of this shot. When we arrived it felt as if we were on another planet. Nice shot...brings back some memories! Thanks!
