Jilguero Peruano?

Santiago, Chile

Spotted this little guy by the shore of the El Yeso Reservoir in the Andes outside of Santiago (Elevation ~2.400M).

Odd thing is that it is outside of it's normal range and coloring does not exactly match that of the Peruvian Jilguero (it's wings are not as yellow), but nor does it match the coloring of the supposed Jilgueros that live in this are of Chile. I wonder if there is some hybridization of these little birds going on? Then again I know very little about birds... so if you know more, please drop me a note.

Dear Mr Pablo Yanez,
I am a french ornithologist (Paris museum) and having just published a Monograph of the Finches (vol1). Now i am writing the vol2 with all the Carduelis and the Serinus. Looking at your photo, this bird looks like much to an Olivaceous Siskin (Carduelis olivacea) with the black of the head stopping at the top of the nape, not descending at the bottom like the Hooded Siskin. The color of the breast is also too much golden yellow instead of green yellowish. It cannot be an Andean Siskin that has only a black cap. Of course, the distribution (Chile) does not correspond but birds fly sometimes more than usual. Would you have a photo showing the back of the bird?
All the best
