This Gallery contains photos of ancestors from the above names. The names are all variations of Ruhsen & Kuehl. I am not sure that Ruhsen is the correct spelling of the Root name yet it is what appears in most of the USA census papers. According to a Reason cousin, the name was changed when a teacher declared, “Ruhsen is not an American name” and changed it to Reason; sounds Reasonable to me!!

Both families came to Porter County, Indiana and joined together when Frederick Kuehl married Mary Ruhsen. My link with the families is through Margarite Ruhsen who married my GGrandfather, Edwin Morgan, aka Frank Edwin Morgan Foster.
