When I was in 9th grade, I lived with my Father & his family for 2 years. One of my most favorite
things to do was to go down to the end of his property where there was a path in between his house
& the next... On either side of this path were enormously overgrown, fully blooming blackberry bushes.
I would scrounge down in there between the thorns for the delicious fruit. We also had a decent sized
family garden that was full of cuckes, potatoes, green beans & the occasional errant corn stalk from the
compost pile that I would transplant to the edge of his garden. He gave me a great love for growing
veggies & such. I treasure his knowledge & the care he gave to the garden. This blackberry bloom is
just one of many I have growing on my patio... This one is for you Dad! Happy Birthday Dad ~ ILY
