Before heading north back to Jasper, we hiked Saddleback and Fairview by Lake Louise, which was 3 miles one way and ~3350 feet elevation gain. Steep! Besides the fantastic views, as we approached Saddleback we saw a full circle rainbow around the rising sun. That was pretty cool. Fairview summit afforded 360 degree views, including Lake Louise, Mt. Temple, Mt Victoria, Victoria Glacier, Sheol Mtn, Paradise Valley, and Bow Valley.
