Caligo eurilochus sulanus, "The Owl"

The most prevalent butterfly we saw at the observatory at the waterfall gardens was the large "owl butterfly" (along with other brightly colored species I can't name). We frequently saw butterflies on the rest of our trip, most commonly the Morpho peleides limpida (morpho for short), a large butterfly with beautiful blue iridescent colored wings.
