Lamar Valley in Yellowstone is about thirty minutes from where we stayed in Cooke City and several evenings Steve took a ride out there. Not only is it one of the best areas in the park to spot wildlife (particularly wolves), it's also a pretty valley (and far enough away from the main attractions in Yellowstone that it's not a complete mob scene).
