Did I mention that we went swimming in the same place we went fishing for piranha? Apparently they don't instantly swarm and attack live creatures -- but I believe everything else I see on TV and the movies ;) They are more scavengers, going after dead stuff. They were easy to catch with a bit of raw meat, though. And that is definitely an impressive set of teeth on the lower jaw (not good to get bitten by one, so handle with care!).
