The water level has been very low for most of the summer, resulting in the "edge of the water" plants growing out much further than usual. Now that the level is finally coming up again after lots of rain this summer, the "edge of the water" plants are now the "slightly underwater" plants. They still seem happy enough, though.
And another image with the waterproof P&S: I don't think I would have been holding my D700 with its base in the water so I could get this angle!
