I appreciate the suggestion on cropping the tree out of the image, I opted to keep it in because of the direction of the sun cast shadows. Much of the Eastern sky in the upper portion of my image would have been lost and eliminated the since of early morning...
Thanks Peter, for your nice comment and vote on my Icy Encrusted image.
First time I have seen your work, Peter. Seems you have no problem finding the good light! Keep up the good work and have a great year!
Thanks Peter for your nice comment on my Autumn image...
Carolyn from Montreal acquainted me with your site. You handle lighting very well. That is very difficult to do underwater. Well done.
You have unique eye for detail Peter, simple nature beauty. Your photos showcase your vision magnificently. The macro clover a true gem... looke like a wonderous arrangement of calla lillies every time I see it. The refelctions within each tiny dew drop...so multi-dimensionally captivating.
Can you please contact me about the underwater pictures you made?
Kind regards, Marloes Otten

Wonderful work in all galleries
Really like your Rules for Photography
Peter - Thanks for your comments on my Black and White gallery! Now that I've had a chance to see your B&W work, it means even more coming from such an accomplished photographer. Thanks again! Gary
I want to say, too, that I like your three rules of photography! And I really like your photos - they certainly do not look overdone, either minimalist or some very clever processing. I also like that you use a point and shoot a lot - another proof it is the eye and a brain that makes the photographer, not the camera.
Thanks for your comment. Yours are great!
I just wanted to say that I really like your three rules for photography. They're simple but they really are truisms, especially that second one! It's rare that you get a photographer on PBase who is so forthcoming with their craft, and I appreciate looking at your images more after reading your "mission statement." Cheers!
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a message. As i was reading your profile, I had a question? When it comes to photos and photoshop, are you a puriest and just clean-up and do as little as possible when working with your pics, or do you turn a pic into a "digital" image.
Hi Peter Thank you for your comments .
Thanks Peter for the words on my black and white gallery. Your work is impressive a joy to behold.
Am very impressed by your site and envy you for your experience and talent. I only awoke to serious photography within the last year and am so excited by it all - seeing the world from a whole new angle. So far have only used Canon P&S, but now looking at DSLRs, leaning towards the Canon Rebel XSi - can only dream about the more lofty models.
Dwmmit Peter - I'd loved to have looked at your pictures more. What I saw was excellent but the reportage gallery had me in a mess and I couldn't go any further. You have a great talent, keep using it Man!
Thanks for the kind words. You have some wonderful photos on your site.

Peter, thank you for your input and comments.Heading to Kauai next week hope to have some warmer shots.
Excellent message & rules to live by!
I very much enjoyed my visit...it will not be my last!
Hi Peter - thank you for your comments on my photos. It's always nice to meet a fellow Canadian on PBase! A bientôt :)
Peter, thank you for your recent comment. I, too, look for great lighting opportunities which, of course, mostly occur at twilight and sunrise. that's Ok thought, I need to miss a meal ot two. I also find that I prefer being innovative and creative with the camera versus the in-house computer processing (i.e. Photoshop). looking forward to seeing your shots and conversing with you from time-to-time. Cheers.
I appreciate your photos and your rules for photography. I have to learn to use that garbage pail more often. Keep up the great galleries, you choose photos worth viewing!
Appreciate your nice comment on my tree reflections...
Thanks Peter for your kind words and vote on my moon lite image...
