I like the 'detail of confetti applique' and the 'view from marin.' Very nice work. Must have taken a long time to create. Hope you're able to showcase next year (or sooner) when things reopen.

Being fond of both art and photography landscapes, I was equally impressed by your embroidered landscapes. You have great skill and an eye for both colour and detail. I love your wide tonal range as well your chosen subject matter. Your composition for each of your works is most fitting for each scene. I am a keen illustrator as well as a writer so can appreciate the time and skill needed to produce such marvellous works as yours. I commend your talent.

You are one very talented artist. Watercolours and inks are what I love to use, but the the textures and fine work you create here takes ones breath away.

Not sure I understand? Are you inking on top of material from your photos, then quilting/embroidering on top of that?

Joan, I LOVE your work....you are definitely a very talented artist!! I was wondering, on your embroidery projects, what type of thread are you using? Your embroidery detail looks so rich and does not have "white" spaces.
