Hobbema over the years were not in favor of its name.... nothing to do with anything of native beliefs or tradition.... They decided on the name "Maskwacis" whick means Bear Hills..... it is fitting and well deserved... this shot is from one of the Pow Wows from last year... so colorful and well worth going to if you chance....
