I worked in Gabarone, Botswana during the summer of 2006. The work there completely spun the way I viewed medicine and my career plans. To decompress afterward, I got a chance to travel a bit through Botswana as well as through some of South Africa. Both countries are exceedingly beautiful - modern but still so close to the earth and bound by so much history. This trip is when I started to serious shooting using SLR - learning curve is steep as evident by color balance and exposure issues of some of the pictures. Live and learn.
