Pheasant IV (or V - we've lost count! - Dad) is one of my favourite toys as you know. He's very
realistic and makes a fascinating quacking noise whenever I grab him and give him a shake! But Dad
has always said he's only a toy so I've often wondered what a real pheasant is like.
Today the wondering was over! We were out on a long walky and a group of five or six real
pheasants suddenly dashed across the path right in front of me and up the bank on the right.
The noises they made were even more fascinating than the quacking of my toy pheasant.
They smelled very interesting too! And they looked very plump. But sadly Dad would not let me catch one for lunch!
