31072007 exploring the abbey garden

Here's another shot from our trip to the Dales on Sunday.
As always when we visit Jervaulx, I had a fascinating time
exploring the Abbey ruins. Jervaulx is set in a wildflower garden
and is not preserved in a pristine state with mowed lawns etc like
other stately houses. Much more interesting for the visiting Pooch!
Why can't more historic buildings be this pooch-friendly?

I think Pooch is looking where Mummy is. Great place for exploring . Ages since we've been to Jervalux.

This is a lovely shot of you Pooch, I think maybe some Head Gardeners might have heard about certain doggies' digging habits and that's why they don't allow them into the posh gardens! I am glad you were allowed to go into this one though.

I'm with you on this one pooch.... the world is just not dog friendly enough. I suppose that shouldn't surprise me since it isn't always human friendly either. But seriously, how could anyone not want dogs romping through their tall grasses and mucking through their dirt and ruins.
