15th April 2018

Our grey and rainy weather continues, but it seems that our apple tree has decided that
it is Spring. The leaves are opening and hopefully there will be blossom to photograph soon.
It's at least three weeks later than last year - in 2017 the apple was fully in leaf by mid-April and the blossom was budding.

You will have noticed that there haven't been any photos of Jack for several days. Unfortunately he
stepped on a broken glass bottle during a walk (concealed under leaf litter and we didn't spot it in time).
His paw pad received a deep cut and he's had to have it sutured and bandaged at the vet.
He's limited to garden exercise only (no walks at all) for the time being while it heals.

A good sign, if a little late, that spring must be on its way! Poor little Jack, hope it heals asap ..

A sign of things to come.
Poor Jack, hope he's back out there soon.

The sheer laziness of some can cause severe damage to others...poor little Jack :(

It is still summer here at 2 months into Autumn :(
