Friends, isn't this a splendid hunting ground for critters and rustly things? I had a lot of fun sniffing and listening, and kept stopping to
investigate further. What a pity I was not allowed to go dashing off through the wheat for some serious critter-chasing! I was very keen
to do so but Dad thought the farmer might not like it if his wheat was all trampled!

Dad: this field has grown up considerably since we last had a walky here! I don't think we will go back until after harvest-time because
of the risk of getting grass seeds or other nasties in Pooch's eyes...
