I use my frame here to humorously juxtapose the bare feet of the shopkeeper with over a dozen pair of shoes.

Thanks, Carole, for appreciating my twisted sense of humor. I think my use of frame to abstract the salesman and show only his bare feet, is what makes it work.

The age-old story idea of the cobbler who has no shoes of his own! OR perhaps these bare feet will be willing to try on the shoes for a customer who is just too lazy to remove her own! Love the humor in this shot!

As I made this image, I thought of the old saying "the shoemaker's children go barefoot." Yet I instantly realized that none of these shoes were made for him, so it is no wonder that he wears no shoes here. And that was what made it amusing to me.

What a great image - a barefooted shoe salesman. A closer look shows if he were to wear these shoes he might be thought a bit odd - since the shoes seem to be made for women.
