If you substituted the tripod for a painter's easel you'd have a classic shot of a classic painting scene! I love the composition, and the fact that the photographer is nearly in silhouette. It is what he sees that we see that's important.

I try to go to places where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Monument Valley is one of those places. It a desert landscape with ancient rock formations speaking of the earth's history. In the early or late light, such formations become strikingly beautiful in terms of color, light, and shadow placement. I was fortunate to be able to visit such a place as this and offer my own interpretations of what I saw. Thanks, Alina, for enjoying it.
