Bench, Nogales, Arizona, 2009

The red oval on the back of this bench resembles a set of parted lips. Yet the young woman who sits upon this bench incongruously covers her own lips with her fingers. Without color, this image would not tell the same story.

You are right, Rosemary. The wall is speaking to us here, while the woman is not. And yes, the voice is definitely feminine.

Great shot. I especially like the lips in front of the rock wall; reminds me of the saying "If these walls could speak."
The painted red lips and the woman suggest it would speak with a feminine voice.
