Hy Daniel,

a intersting thing with the colored background, I think I must test something :-)

The Glossomat is made by a special fleece. They use it normaly in normal greenhouses and nurserys. It is white and about 5mm thick.

Oh thanks 8) You and a few others (Amano, Navarro etc) are the ones that inspire me the most.

The color is actually from the wall in the living room. We have a "crazy" but old purple color in the livingroom. I shot a couple of pictures without black background and it came out pretty nice and striking. Seems to be a good idea to have the back-color a couple of centimeters from the aquarium (like Amanos studio-setups), because you get interesting alternative ways of illuminating the background. I often try to underexpose so the plant highlights doesn't get burnt, but you get a very nice effect of really over-exposing/burning the background. I've seen Amano do it in some Aquascape-photos:

So the Glossomat is made by plastic? =)

congratulation to your wonderful tank at the AquaBotanic Contest 2004. How did you managed this lovley background ?

The Glosso carpet at this tank was a special invention from Tropica for fair tanks. It is only a nice trick.
