It's That Time...

It's 60 degrees F outside so I had the window open a bit for some nice fresh air and I heard the honking of geese. I grabbed my camera and went out and this was the best I could do as they flew by. I'm sure there will be plenty more flocks in the coming days with the weather we are having.

Patti I think I recognize the 3rd goose from the end....saw it pass by here in the fall. With the ugly cold March we are having they won't be back here any time soon.

Tonight it is 18.4F (-28C) degrees here and we're still in the depths of winter but those flocks of geese heading north still excite me because spring will be here before we know it! Thanks for the lovely photo depicting hope!

I heard a sandhill crane yesterday. I couldn't see it, but there was no mistaking that call. That is always a sure sign of spring to me, now I can't wait to actually see one!

A spectacular herald of spring for you. We've just had our first rain for months and that's a welcome sign of autumn after too much of summer.

Yeah, I've noticed them heading north lately! So, definately spring is back!

Ah, someone should tell them there is still snow and ice a little further north - but a great sign of things to come just the same. V
