At the 'Cat exhibition' , at Baltard near paris, many Champions cats are awarded.
It is the picture of a winner from above the podium.
Here, once the composition imagined, with three cups, the difficulty was to wait that a winner was isolated (they are 3 or 4 like that one the podium, see shadow at the left), to focus on the head of the cat , and catch the moment where the cat watch at the camera ...

Au salon du chat 2006, à Baltard, plein de chats champions sont récompensés.
La photo est celle d'un lauréat, prise de la gallerie au dessus du Podium.
Une fois la composition imaginée, avec les trois coupes, il faut faire la mise au point sur la tête du chat, saisir un moment où le concurrent s'isole (ils sont 3 ou 4 gagnants sur le podium, dont on peut deviner les ombres, à gauche , et surtout celui où le chat regarde l'objectif.

Once the composition imagined,it took about 1/4 of an hour on a sunday morning : it is the right moment for all bicycles clubs outing.

Le dimanche matin, c'est le moment de sortie des clubs cyclistes. Il y a plétore de vélos qui battent le pavé.
La composition, avec le regard arrivant sur le cycliste assis, puis continuant vers lignes de l'escalier qui convergent vers le point de passage des biclous vient immédiatement à l'esprit .... Ensuite il faut attendre ... environ un quart d'heure ce jour là.

Here , the thearter is only the stair ( and the light), with children jumping in the water. That give a diagonal composition, with a possibility to shot every minut approximativaly.
You have to wait that something happen.
Then the boat and the man arrived. They worked well with he diagonal composition( time : one or two minuts), and the luck is the position of the girl that came just after, that allow to the eye to rebound on the diver ( less than 10 seconds, she was gone after ).
Another important thing is that the man's body, and the girl's one stand out against dark ,as well the girl's head and the diver against clear....

Au début la scène qu'on repère, qui va être le théatre de l'action, est l'escalier, avec les rayons de soleil, et les enfants qui sautent dans l'eau. Celà donne donc une composition en diagonale et une photo possible toutes les minutes à peu près, quand les mômes sautent.
Ensuite arrivent le bateau et le monsieur qui complètent bien la diagonale (cela dure une ou deux minutes), et le coup de chance est le positionnement de la fillette, qui permet au regard de rebondir vers le plongeur (moins de 10 secondes , elle est partie après).
Un autre élément important est que la chemise de l'homme et le corps de la fillette se détachent bien sur un fond foncé.
De la même façon la tête de la fillette et le plongeur se détachent sur un fond clair...

As there was light inside, i thought that it was possible that somebody go behind the window.
The young man passed 5 minutes after, and i just gave him a sign.
He understood that i wanted to make a picture
He stayed 30 seconds, and went off |
Le théatre est formé du coeur et la fenêtre.
Sans rien d'autre, la photo est peu interessante.
Comme il y avait de la lumière, en un quart d'heure celà semblait possible que quelqu'un passe derrière la fenêtre.
Le jeune homme est passé, je lui ai juste fait un signe.
Il a compris que je voulais le photographier.
Il est resté 30 secondes, puis bye.

| House of "croquette"(for dog).
It was necessary to scout for a beautiful dog, his master and to watch for them during 20 minutes with the hope that they would pass by the shop;
reasonable hope :
- normally a good antique's hunter go in every place of a flea market
- the shopkeeper was giving croquettes to every dog
so they pass in front of the shop, they stop , and , the must : the dog give the paw unexpected :)))

La maison de la croquette :
il a fallu repérer un joli chienchien, son maître,et les guetter pendant vingt minutes avec l'espoir qu'ils passeraient devant la vitrine ;
espoir raisonnable :
- en principe un chineur sérieux passe dans tous les endroits d'une brocante.
- le proprio du magasin distribuait des echantillons de croquettes à tous les toutous.
Non seulement ils passent devant, mais ils s'arrêtent, prennent le paquet de croquettes, causent (pas à moi), et le chien donne la patte !!!
