March 17th. Lone Peregrine returns to the Radisson in downtown Winnipeg. Later I.D. as Princess.
March 21st. Nest Box setup and cameras installed.
March 25th. A second Peregrine returns...no I.D. as of yet on this bird.
April 3rd. Confirmed that Trey is back in town.
April 12th. Checking the nest box...brought Princess who makes a couple of passes then perched
on a tower.
April 17th. Checking again for scrapes in the nest box. A scrape is an indent where eggs are laid.
April 19th. We have one egg...not in the new box but on the ledge 13 floors up.
April 21st. We now have two eggs.
April 23rd. And then there was Three.
Bad weather in the forcast...rain and snow for the next couple days.
With any luck we should have chicks May 20-24th.
April 28th. And now Four eggs...)
May 5th. Confirmed one egg has been lost.
May 23rd. Looks like Trey on the nest...just seen eggs @ 8:36. Any time now.
May 26th...still sitting on three eggs @ 11:15 A.M.
May 28th...Two chicks seen this morning @ 7:15 A.M
Then there was Three...
June 6th...the rain came hard and fast. The nest area was a pool of water and all three chicks were lost. A rescue attempt was made...but not in time.
