A pretty stout house!

Much of the building was restored to original condition with original materials. When the place was built it had only dirt floors and little in the way of furnishings. It was more of a refuge for the townspeople from Indian attacks. The village had 3 stone building (the other two are gone) and those in wood homes would retreat to the stone buildings for safety.

Lovely old architecture here. It looks a little like one of the old chapels around here that has been converted to living accommodation.
