My first visit was for a mere 1 and half day, on time off from work.I was not expecting much from the city but it turned out it was one of those occasions when something actually exceeds our best expectations.
I was immediately caught up by the its very special atmosphere provided by the multi-cultural melting-pot, the "Citizens-On-Bikes" scene and the perfect, beautiful interaction between the architecture and the canals layout spreading throughout he city center.
I decided that the city deserved a second, less time pressed visit, so in October 2005 I went back there on leisure with my wife (who also loved it).
Pictures from this second trip were taken with a Canon 350D and are featured first (AMS tags). The photos from my first visit - taken with my Nikon CP5700 - come next (series tagged with numbers only). The 350D series also include pictures from a short hop to near-by Delft, Johannes Vermeer's birth place.
They can be seen in the "The City" sub-gallery.
