Went up to the cove for a sunrise shoot and came away without any decent shots. I had the 60D on the tripod and the 30D with the 200mm 2.8 hanging around my neck in the event of a wildlife sighting. I heard a car coming down Sparks Lane off to my right and when I turned to see how close it was the bear was emerging from a thicket just 20 yards or so away from me. I quickly turned and fired off 4 shots before it turned up the road towards me. I decided to evacuate the area but it turned into the thicket across the road, finally emerging into the clearing ahead of me. None of the bear shots were worth editing. I didn't need any additional caffeine to get me through the day though!
