The bridge between Middleham and Leyburn is closed for six weeks for strengthening works. It's about 2 miles from Middleham to Leyburn, the official diversion is 25 miles!
There are shorter, more scenic ways but you'd have a problem if you were a truck driver I expect :-)

Here's one end of the diversion... looks wrong to me!
