20090803 - BBC Sandwiches on Addlebrough

view map

When I took a fotie of the Devil's Stone on the slopes of Addlebrough a few weekends ago, I got home wishing I'd gone up to the top - I wasn't far from the top anyway!

So, having a day off to get the car MOT'd (passed no probs - woohoo), I decided to attack it in the afternoon after a quick stop in Leyburn for some fud. Mrs. Pumphreys sandwich shop got the gig and I had the very first thing on the list - Bacon, Brie and Cranberry on brown. They were GREAT!!! I suppose the climb helped, but ooh they were yumm!!!

The pic - that's were the fence runs out - there's a bit of a drop directly ahead... the fall might not kill you, but the wait for someone to scrape you up just might ;o)

And that's Semerwater just above the end of the fence.

-----------------

D'oh d'oh d'oh!!! The walk must've addled my brain - I don't know where I got Inglebrough from - it was Addlebrough - must be my inglenook fireplace wot did it! Title etc updated now! :o)

Gorgeously done - great clouds and superb light on the distant hills - love that sunbeam above Senerwater...V

Well, whichever place it is, it's beautiful. Did you wait long for the sunbeam to fall on that pond? :o)

Totally stunning landscape. Great clouds and light.
You and Johnny are very lucky to live amongst so much beauty (I know, different counties.)

It's nice to see the view, I've only been up to do the Three Peaks Challenge a few times and there isn't time to take in the grandeur.
