In Sept this year the Manila Int'l Airport Authority has called for 'abandoned' aircraft to be removed from the field: http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/52229/airport-to-be-cleared-of-abandoned-aircraft

The Super Constellation is specifically mentioned athttp://125.60.203.88/miaa/images/stories/NOTICE_Aircraft1.pdf.

i made some research. this Connie used to belong to William "winky" Crawford, hence the nickname "Winky's Fish", trading tuna from Palau to Japan in the late 1980's. i tracked him down to his Bosnik Beach Guest House. (aawesomeworld.com/bosnik/)

Mr. J.H. Russel, i hope you're still reading this, areyou still interested in this Connie? or have you made contact with the proper people... i think my cousin can help. he has access to the airport and knows quite a few people who might help get us the information you need. if you're still interested, message me, pansit_kanton@yahoo.com

thanks!

Hi Mr, Russell, regrets but I have no info nor affiliation with either the owner of the connie or the airport management group. Hopefully someone knowledgeable gets to read your query and will either post a reply or send you an email. Good luck.

Hello PA... I understand that the Connie has been impounded at NAIA (Manila) airport. Do you have any contact information for the airport manager/director?... He most likely would have all the details concerning the Connie (or would know who to contact. We are very interested in aquiring this beautiful old bird and putting her back into service. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks! You can contact us at:

Hi Hans. Regrets but as of now I have no idea who owns the plane. I will do some research and post if I find the answer in the next few days.

Good afternoon. Very nice photo album. Do you happen to know who is the actual Owner "Winkey's Fish" Constellation? Would like to investigate if it's possible to salvage this ancient bird. Please let me know if you have more info. Many thanks!
