The case on the HVL-F20AM is easily opened by removing four rubber plugs and screws underneath.
There are two locking tabs on the top half on each side that need to be pressed to release the back cover.
Use caution as the capacitor has up to 300v.
The capacitor lead can be disconnected (red connector). The yellow connector is for the HV lead to the flash tube.
