MEXICAN HAT (Ratibida columnaris)
Today is wildflower day! My neighbor and friend, Linda, told me one of her cactus was in bloom so I headed down to see. It was beautiful, but I had even more fun in Sam and Linda's wildflower meadow. I have to tell you about Linda. She is a Speech Pathologist who is still practicing in Houston. Their retirement home is here in Wimberley and she comes on weekends.... she visits John (and me) every weekend without fail, and we appreciate her so much. Sam is living here now, and she promises she will be here permanently in August! We can hardly wait. See the rest of their meadow here: http://www.pbase.com/petesie/linda_and_sam_
