Yesterday I took some mushroom photos at Deer Creek. I was upset because
they aren't pretty like the ones I see on Pbase that are growing in New England,
but it was a mushroom....so today, after an overnight 3 1/2 inch rain,
this is what it looked like. Really GROSS! Check out how it looked yesterday:

Also a bit of Shangri-La: http://www.pbase.com/petesie/image/35422336

Yucky! I don't know which is worse, the ugly mushroom in its prime from yesterday, or its demise today...

LOL at Pete, but yeah now that she mentioned it.. What a great shot of one of the ugliest mushrooms I've ever seen.

Wow. I wouldn't fancy eating it though!

Yes, well it doesn't look the best mushroom I've seen but it's one heck of a macro, Petesie.

Petesie, I have to admit, you did manage to find the grossest looking mushroom I've seen in a long time! Great for Halloween season, though.

I meant clarity of course.

Must be allergic to water, great celerity.

But please, Liza, remember all of the beautiful flowers and butterflies! I feel guilty now.
