Petesie saved me!

This little guy was to be my PaD http://www.pbase.com/image/33158788.
Then I went back outside and found he had caught a butterfly. I took a quick
photo, touched the butterfly and he flew away. I know he was doing what
crab spiders do, but I just did not appreciate it!

If you like hibiscus, I had nine plants blooming today....one click and you can see them:

Magnificent capture!
Put. the skipper. down.
Step away from the skipper. All right, legs on the petals -- keep those pincers where I can see them -- I only see seven! Seven! All eight on the petals, that's it...
Officer Petesie, at work.

Oh, Petesie. How would you like it if someone took your meal from you just as you were about to tuck in!

We have lots of crab spiders too Petesie. Have you ever seen them pounce on a bee...amazing how potent they are. Great photo.

Glad you saved that butterfly; this spider looks any thing but little! Great background, too

That is soooo cool! I mean you capturing it.. i'm sure it scared the poor butterfly to be held captive..lol

And so you did, I'll bet the spider was angry.

Amazing capture! Literally, and figuratively! Of course you spoiled someone's perfectly good dinner.... ;)
