The two-hour cruise up the Bosphorus Strait is considered as a short trip. With a view of palaces and luxuray waterfront real estates, it is the most popular type for tourists. The long cruise takes tourists all the way to the Black Sea and back. Our cruise departed from Eminönü Haliç İskelesi, the old citys waterfront on the Golden Horn estuary. It turned around at the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, the second bridge linking two continents across the Bosphorus. |
Our tour group of 40 cruised on a ferry boat large enough to carry over a hundred passengers. On this windy afternoon, most of us stayed inside the lower main cabin. I was free to move on the top deck from bow to stern, port to starboard, shooting towards Europe and Asia without getting in others way.
Most photos were shot with the Canon EF 100-400mm Mk2 tele-zoom lens. |
