A medallion with the name of Allah by the calligrapher Kazasker Mustafa İzzed Effendi (1801–1877) dwarf two mosaics at the eastern end of the southern gallery of Hagia Sophia.
The Empress Zoe & Comnenus mosaics dated from 11th and 12th century.
