This is the midpoint of the river front path, which runs from Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan to the World Financial Center in the north.
In the foreground is The Upper Room (1987) by Ned Smyth. It looks like an open-air Egyptian temple completed with colorful mosaic.
Framed by the columns, across the Hudson is the Goldman Sachs Tower designed by César Pelli.
