The 1569 Ponte Santa Trinita bridge over River Arno, viewed from the Ponte Vecchio bridge.
Like most bridges in Florence, it was destroyed by the retreating German army in 1944 and rebuilt in 1958 with stones recovered from the bed of the Arno River.
