Brussels, the capital of both the small country of Belgium and the colossal European Union

We only have time to see the GRAND'PLACE (Grote Markt - Market Square) and have lunch there.
In French, this is called Grand Place, but in Dutch, it is called Grote Markt.
This square is dominated by the Gothic style Town Hall on the south side and the King's House on the north.
Surrounding the square are Baroque style guildhalls. They were rebuilt soon after the 1695 French bombardment.

Lunch? Belgian Waffles, of course.
