Narcissus Flycatcher

DaFooChan Park, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China

Here is a lovely bird that only occur as a passage migrant in small numbers in Thailand.
However on this very day I saw 4 males at this rather large park in Guangzhou.
The bird migrates through here on its way to breeding grounds in Japan and E/NE China from its wintering grounds in Borneo and Philippines.

It stayed low in bushes the light wasn't very good but I did manage a few shots.

Hey Peter, nice shot! I guess this is the park you mentioned when we were chatting in Nanling Park. Though you couldn't recall the park name. Well, here I am seeing the name "DaFooChan", which is right next to the estate where I live, haha!!! Even though I have been to this park several times, I never realized that there were pretty birdies like this one. I guess I should pay good attention to them next time when I get there. Thanks for the posting!
