Chestnut-headed Tesia

Doi Lang, Thailand

One of the most exciting birds I have photographed and the main reason for my trip to Doi Lang.
Notoriously difficult to see as it is so small and dwells in the understory of thick forests on high mountains. It is very skittish and barely remains longer then a fraction of a second in one place.
He kept coming for some earth worms strategically placed to bring him in front of the view finder.
