This was the coolest New Year in Hong Kong in 43 years. It was
just 6 degC in the urban areas. Somehow a couple of friends and
I determined to set our tents at Lo Tei Tun to wait for the
first beam of sunlight of 2005.
After fighting the whole night against freezing temperature and
roaring wind, we got up around 6:30am and waited. By about
7:03am the sun showed up. The scenary was rewarding. With my
little digital camera I could barely capture a fraction of the
beautiful scene. Hopefully next time I can bring more gears
there and get some better pictures to share here.
