The Nikon V1 is a quality and handy machine to catch stills and videos while carrying less weight and bulk. With the kit lenses its not an ideal low light (but good nevertheless) or bokeh machine (compared to a dslr )at f3.5-5.6 but the images are good up to 1200 isos and can be pushed to 3600 with some post processing. The two lens have a crop factor of 2.7 compared to a 35mm box which gives 27-80 and 80-300 approx equivalence in the 35mm world. You get a full range from 28 to 300mm with the two kit lenses, which is great. The flash unit is a must, power fed on the box battery and a very sexy unit, good for straigh flash a bit weak for bounce. I LOVE IT...
