First posted image taken with the new D300s/500mm together with the new Nikon TC1.4. Wonderful fast combo as the TC does not seem to slow down the focusing and increases the reach significantly.
The Circaet eagle was about 150 meters high in a clear blue mountain sky, above our garden. Shot handheld as the tripod got in the way.
In other occasions, when the light is too bright and the contrast too high, the TC gets in the way of focussing. It all depends upon the light.
