In 1773 the ship Hector left Loch Broom Scotland with 179 passengers landing in Pictou Nova Scotia. Deb's grandfather (5 generations ago) was on board The Hector with his family. His name was Alexander Fraser. In Pictou there is now a replica of The Hector amd we had a great day visiting the ship and museum. The web site for The Hector is http://www.townofpictou.com/hhq
Would it be OK to use some of your photos for a YouTube video for a song about the Hector? We're a band from the outer hebrides and west coast mainland scotland. very rough version of song with even rougher video here..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI-mlWXE4IQ

We just returned from a trip to PEI and then to Pictou. Thanks for the photos...it was fun to see them (I have several of course, too). My brother and I are McKenzies and enjoyed learning more about our heritage. We found cousins on PEI and lots of Mackenzie names all over the island and at the heritage center in Pictou.
