M8 M20

Traveling Wilbury Observatory

Two beautiful objects on the edge of the Great Sagittarius Star Field in that arm of the Milky Way. M8 is also known as the Lagoon Nebula and M20 with the red/blue is also known as the Triffid Nebula.

The Tec apo refractor is oil spaced, and tuned to the visual spectrum. This makes it more suitable for film astrophotography in my opinion. The field flattener is also made to attach the Pentax 6x7 camera.

wonderful! I've forgotten how natural-looking and rewarding film images can be! Keep up the good work!

Too often digital imparts a "hard" looks that does not match what the eye sees.
